Just a message for those who have or will be contacting the Humminbird Customer Service Department:
If you have an urgent need for information or need something to be taken care of: call 1-800-633-1468. Best times to call are early in the morning. Avoid Mondays as this is when everyone else wants to talk to them too. Please be patient if you have to wait on hold as they try to answer all calls as quickly as they can. Help us and yourself by having the following information available when you call:
- The full model name/number of your unit(s). We have many units that have similar model names with just a single number or letter could make the difference in what will or will not work or what can be done for each issue. The model number can be found either on the system status screen, back of the unit on the serial number plate, or on the face of the unit. If you have a unit with a card reader, the mode number should be on the card reader door.
- The serial number of your unit(s). Again this information can be found on the system status screen or on the back of your unit.
- The software version that is installed in your unit(s). This information can be found on your system status screen.
- What accessories or other units do you have connected to your unit.
If you can wait on an answer than contact us through the Humminbird web site Contact Support page and follow the directions there:
http://www.humminbird.com/support/Contact_Support.aspx . The above information is also necessary to assist you properly on the first email.
We try and answer these messages as quickly as we can as well when we have time to do so between telephone calls. With an increase in telephone calls though, we cannot answer these messages as quickly as we would like to and so you may not get an answer as soon as we would like for you to.
Please do not contact us both ways about the same issue/information as this just further delays us from answering your or someone else’s telephone call or contact message because of DOUBLE duty on our system.
