I have a question about the accuracy HumViewer. I have old scan I was messing around with and decided to mark some of the objects. I marked a object in SI both. I then went through the scan in DI and ended up marking the same object again. I noticed this when I viewed the 2d track. The waypoints were separated a bit. What is the preferred way of marking waypoints in HV, Down or Side? Is one more accurate that the other ? Either one would have taken me there but is one going to be more dead on that the other ?

The only accurate way to do it is with the 2D sonar.
Since in SI/DI, you can't easily determine the real distance between the structure and the boat.
50 feet in Si range, is calculated from the transducer to the structure, in linear fashion, like a laser
beam. Not parallel to the ground. So the real distance can be 45-48-40 feet, the deeper, the more
prone to error your measurement would be!
