Post by: rnvinc on February 14, 2013, 12:41:10 PM
Can I take a recording made in my 1197 and play it back (with waypoint marking accuracy) in my buddy's 998...??

I would take a guess and say Yes.

You would think that the recording format is
the same among units.

Good question.  I have never tried this before so I made a Sonar Recording while in the Simulator mode on a 998c Si unit.  It played on a 798c Si and a 987c Si unit, so I thing that ITG is right and it should work for you.

Thanks guys...

I'm curious if marking waypoints will still be accurate in the recording while playing back on the 998...

Might be an interesting test to play with...

I love a challenge...:)

It should have no effect on the accuaracy.  Once its recorded, its the same on either unit.
