Networked 999ci HD fluctuates depth
« on: August 26, 2018, 11:15:29 PM »
I have a Helix 10 on the dash and a 999 on my downrigger mounting board at the back. They are networked along with a 360 transducer, gps puck, and Terrova TM. The only problem I have is the 999 will just randomly go from the real depth to the whole screen filling up and showing 4’ depth. The Helix doesn’t do it. This is in regular 2d sonar. Even though the different units run off of the same transducer do they each use their own settings? Maybe I need to check the sensitivity on the 999? There does seem like there’s a lot of surface clutter.

It might be a good idea to disconnect the entire network and test just the 999 connected directly to the xducer  ...

This could determine if it's the 999 head unit or something in the network  ...
