Hey guys, Take a  look at this transducer mount and give me your feedback. This might be a game changer on running the HD SI 180T at high speed without the  rooster tail......but it is touch pricey isn't it?

Lots of guys (especially at the bass boat forums) use Transducer Shield and Saver stuff ...

It is pricey ... But built like a tank ...

I will bet with that transducer mount , one could get the HS SI 180T transducer to read at high speed. What do you think Rickie? As it looks, It would seem to smooth out the water flow to the face of the transducer and make it read at high speed.

Most of the bass boat guys opt directly to the bilge mounted XP 9 20 with the AS SIDB Y cable ...and then jackplate mount the HDSI ...

It does look like that specific mount could be an advantage for smoother water flow ...

That is pricy! I have been running HDSI on my aluminum boat for 7 years. Granted my top end is only 52mph but I read bottom at that speed in over 225' of water. I am mounted on the transom with a simple 3/4 inch mounting board. Bob

That is true for the bass boat guys running fiberglass boats , but we have to remember that vast majority of guys are running aluminum boats and running a bilge mounted 2d transducer and jack plate mount is not possible. OF all the guys I know running aluminum boats,  not one even has a jackplate to mount a SI transducer. This is why I think this transducer might have excellent possibilties for guy running aluminim boats to get high speed readings with the SI transducer without all the other mounting options.

I'd like to see a picture of that "simple" installation Bob....IT's not that I don't beleive you...but like Reagan said, "trust but verify". Are you saying you  were running 52mph with  a HDSI  Humminbird transducer in an aluminum boat and you marked bottom in 225 feet of water.......OH brother....LMAO.  Where are my waders at, Vern? ... and one time at Band Camp.....

I doubt I will be taking any transom photo's while I have open water to fish. I frankly don't care what you think. I have been reading your posts. Bob

So what is your point Bob? The internet is just filled with 10s of 1000s people who can't get high speed readings off a HDSI Humminbird tranducer and it is recommended that SI be done at 8 mph or less....and now you come along and claim 52 mph and marking bottom in 225 feet of water?     Frankly I think you are embelishing your claim just a wee tad and I called you on  it? Does that make you mad? All I'm saying is show ME....Put up or shut up......and that is Ok.....maybe you have problem reading numbers and decimal points  and you were really going only 5.2 mph in 22.5 feet of water?   that would  be true right?    LMAO......."The Sky is falling Chicken Little.....

Really?   Again? .....His  statement is so ridculous according to the facts that you and others would have me ignore it or at least question it for accuracy and a smigin of beleivability? ?  Do you really expect me to beleive 52 miles per hour and still marking bottom in 225 FOW with a HDSI transducer on an aluminum boat with a simple set-up and he refuses to show us "dumb" guys?   Come On Bob B......How much can we take? Ask Rickie if this is slightly  embelished? He needs to get ahold of the Humminbird Engineering staff and show them how it is done!  ;D
