Title: my new helix5si will not work in auto am i not turning it on correctly

Have a new helix5si and have never been able to get a picture on it in auto mode. Works perfectly in ever other way just not in auto the screen is black when in auto. Am i not turning it on correctly at SI RANGE SCREEN? Does anyone else have this problem?

Try the Restore Defaults choice under the Setup tab ...

Then power off and power back on ...

During boot up watch the screen for a popup that says "Transducer not connected" ...

If you don't get that popup ... The unit should boot up to the NAV disclaimer screen ...

Press the "Exit" button at the NAV disclaimer screen to start Normal operation ...

Test on the water ... (Sonar doesn't work thru air) ...

Thanks but sonar and all other features work perfect. No display after scrolling to auto in si range setting. Will work fine from one foot to 150 feet and beyond in man mode.

i did try defaults many times. i have now sent it to hummingbird service today hope they don't tell me there is nothing wrong with it.
