Hello,
I took my Humminbird Helix 5 SI out today for the first time. It was all great until I hit a log and sent my transducer flying! ;D All is well though, just broke the bracket, the transducer is fine. I have added a couple of pictures and would love for you guys to help me out on what I am seeing. I have put squares around the items in question, and also an error pointing to the color scale of the GPS tacks. What does this mean? Also, if there is anything you see that you would think is a rookie mistake, please feel free to point it out to me. Thanks! [attach=2][attachimg=2]

Nice screenshots. The one on the right in the middle looks like a tree sticking up. The others look like rocks. The bottom left is showing your boat track during the recording.

Thanks Papa Bear. Concerning the boat tracks in the bottom left. I understand that is my boat tracks, but what is the color scale on the boat tracks and what does it mean? Thanks again.

Not sure about color bar. I am sure someone will know the answer.

I don’t use HumViewer but my guess would be some sort of “color by depth” scale like is possible with Tracks in the Humminbird units.

What software do you use Greg?

If I want to review a recording I do so on the unit I recorded it on.
I'm not allowed to load software onto my work PC unless corporate IT approves it first... :(

Like Greg said ...the color scale your arrow is pointing at is a depth scale ... Where red is shallow and white is deep (read vertically) ...
The colors on your boat track will show the gradients of colors (depth changes) in the color depth scale as your boat moves along the track in the track pane ...
