side imageing

I have finnaly learned how to use my side imaging after 7 months by problem is I am fishing shallow water for blues and only my left side works in shallow water in 18 fow and up both sides work.  The tranduscer is on the left and that is the side that works all the time. Is there a easy fix to this problem.  I hope to get a larger screen unit whithin the year but need this one to work till then it a will pain haeing to always trun around to get the left side of the boat where I want to look fo fish I know I am missing a lot of fish. Thanks for your help

It sounds like the boat motor or something else is blocking the upper part of the right Si sonar beam.  Try raising the motor up the next time you are out in shallow water and see if that improves things or not.  If not, try posting a screen snapshot of the Si View with the SI Range menu set to 20 feet.  Also post some pictures of where you have the transducer mounted.  We will need to see the overall back of the boat as well as pictures looking across the transom of the boat from right to left and left to right. These pictures should be taken at the same height as the transducer.
