Title: 1198 left side image doesn't pick up, right side ok.

new install on 1198 unit, had a 798. installed transducer in the same place, everything works except left side on side image mode. Right side ok.

Is the 1198 transducer longer than the 798?
Maybe the motor mount/motor/jackplate is blocking
some of it.

Are there any left side Si sonar returns?
You are testing this in the water, correct?
Do you still have the 798 unit?  If so you can try connecting it up to the 1198’s transducer and power to see if it gets any left Si sonar readings.  Conversely you can connect the 1198 up to the 798’s power and transducer cables to see if the left Si works on it or not.
