I just came across this. Some good info. Hopefully, not providing duplicate link.

Wow!!
This Lakemaster chips are wild! I suppose they don't show lakes in Europe, right?
The features are really cool and I wish they would have a map from Lake Constance with these details. Shallow water highlight and Water level offset are major safety tools in my opinion.
These chips would make a chartplotter unit really helpful around here. I haven't seen a decent digital map for Lake Constance yet. Hopefully Lakemaster will come out with one in the future.

This sites looks great.
I would like find a good instructional dvd on how to get the most out of a depth/fish finder. I believe the Pros get a lot more out of their fish finders then I do. I get the basics, but need to fine tune my use of the systems.
Thanks for the great site.

Try calling Doug V. He might have a dvd in the works.

It might be awhile. I don't think they have good coverage across the US yet.

Thanks FuzzyGrub,
It doesn't need to be about SI Sonar, actually I have been looking for a general tutorial. I have purchased a DVD about the 1197 and it wasn't that good. There must be some good instructional dvds on reading the sonar screens.
The site you sent us to has some pretty good information.
