what exactly does ethernet do? and does it transfer external gps puck module thru the console unit to the bow unit

dkibat, Ethernet shares GPS/NAV data between units, but NO SI,DI or DEAPTH!

If one unit has the GPS wired in the other can receive GPS and all other NAV.

Hi

Overt the ethernetport is it possible to get all information from the unit. The very good software DrDepth use this possibility.

It's also for communications between future accessories, such as the 360.

The Ethernet cable provides the same function as the Ethernet cable to your computer does (that is unless you are wireless): it is a means of transferring large amounts of data between units or unit(s) and accessory(ies).

Yes, you can transfer or share the GPS Receiver connected to a console unit with a bow mounted unit.  Other data may also be shared but this is more dependent on which units are connected.
