Title: Best place to purchase
Post by: river life on December 04, 2013, 06:40:58 PM
Is the humminbird outlet store a safe place to purchase a fish findr. They are so much cheaper for some reason. Why??? They do say they are brand new.

I looked at them when I was going to buy my units and got scared of by what I found when doing an internet search on them.....especially their extended warranty......a LOT of unhappy people.

Your best bet will usually be board sponsors.

They pretend to be affiliated with Humminbird, but are not.

I'm scared my self. I keep hearing about close out sales on the 98' units since the 99,s units are coming out but i haven't find a good deal yet from a respectful dealer. I hear they going to discontinue all 98 models. I don't think the 99 units are going to be same. They come with internal gps but only come with 455 khz. Im trying to find out for sure before i purchase anotherdam unit.

Read my other post about 800Khz and look at the other recent threads about closeout sales on that same forum......all dealers there are very reputable.  Look for post by Three Rivers Marine and BBG Marine or look on their website.  They do sometimes post better prices on the forums than they do on their website.
