Converting Lowrance to Huminbird
« on: September 07, 2013, 08:57:10 PM »
All,

A buddy I fished with on the Red River with had his Lowrance with an internal GPS and he saved all the GPS and Trails. He has saved them as a GPX from his URS version 4. For some reason I can not use the Humminbird software to read the SD card so I can transfer the data to my units. Is there someone here that can point me to the right direction.

Thanks

This should help do what you need. This came from the Frequently Asked Questions section on the Humminbird site you can find a lot of information in the FAQ section.

I’m thinking that you had to save the waypoint data in their version 2 format (or was it 3?...) not in the version 4 format.

Version 3 format is the one that you need to use, I found that information somewhere on the Humminbird site over a year ago when I converted waypoints from my old Lowrance units to my new Humminbird units but do not remember where I found that information.
