"Shit Happens"
« on: December 19, 2010, 05:34:16 PM »
I really enjoyed reading the "shit happens" post from Kimi and Jolly Roger on the "fish that finally works" thread. :)

Thought  I'd ask the administrator if it would be possible to start a thread or catagory for stories from members that might lighten things up a lot, even though not necessarily pertinent to Humminbird Side Imaging.

I am sure that there are a lot of stories members have that would be of common interest to other members that we could all get a good laugh from.

Good idea.  I dont see a topic for this as yet so maybe Robert can put something in on the upgrade next year.
Also since you brought up this idea, it might be a good time to remind folks that if it were not for the few who donate to the cause this forum would not be possible. Robert "eats" a lot of the cost and there are enough of us here now, 2500+, that could help with off-setting the costs. (nothing is ever really free)
The donation might not have to be $25 for charter status  but could be $5 just as a way of thank you.
I think a topic area is a great idea for free posting and especially for humor or unique stories that could get hijacked without losing the original post intent.

You are right about the donations.   I had been thinking about donating for a while, but didn't know what would be appropriate.

I have gotten and am sure will continue to get a lot of great info here.

Just made a donation and hope otheres will also.

If you would rather not use PayPal or your credit card, I have a mailing address to send him a check.
Worked for me. For his time and expense to maintain this site, it is a bargain..

Thanks Guys.   This is a top notch forum and will only grow with all the good folks who contribute to the vast information highway that is developing.
One thing I have found with this forum is that no one picks fights or gets upset. Every one gets along very well and most of all shares knowledge.

Maybe we could get in the general tab a selection called local stories and humor.   Robert is always good and best of all creative.  Now to get some time to do this.
