Can I restart my map?
« on: August 17, 2014, 07:53:46 PM »
I just got autochart, and decided I would speed things up by using all my saved tracks, only problem is that when I run wide open, my 898 reads crazy depths... Now I have spots where there is 8' of water, showing as 50' of water... I just want to start over and can't seem to figure it out... Any help would be great guys!!!

no worry. you can edit your tracks before exporting them at the final step of LakeMaster map.

import your HT file with bad data to AutoChart 'just import only'

this will create a ACD file type

after click 'File\Open Edit' which this open a new windows with your track data only and you should see a editor tab on top of the software

zoom and out to see where the trace is start to look bad and double click on it to select and click the editor toolbar 'Edit Depth'

click save when you done, after you must recreate the HT data file with the new change, click on Tool and convert to line track.

if you click on the NEW icon the change should be available, click con 'Create Map' and now you should see the change and click 'LakeMaster Update'

You can rename or delete your AC folder and you will have an empty map.   AutoChart will create a new one for you when you click on the LakeMaster Update icon.

Delete or edit your .acd files that were created when you imported your files.   In edit, you can remove the data points you don't want.

Okay... I'm having some issues...

So the first time I used autochart, I installed it, hit the local lake and did ten or so recordings on the zerolines card... I came home, imported them and it showed my tracks and everything and I hit "map here" and voila, I had a section of the lake recorded... Then I figured, hey, I got all my other tracks and imported them, which made things terrible... So I deleted all the info off the card (except the lake master folder), hit the lake again tonight, did a few recordings and mapped a good chunk of lake, came home, went to import the .dat files from my recordings, and it says it converted them, but nothing pops up... If I go open, I can open each one individually, but not all at the same time... I tried doing the tutorial, and even when I try to import those files I get no green dots in Minnesota... I'm really confused because I have no Idea what I did wrong or if there is a software glitch or something??? It seemed pretty simple the first time around, now the more I try and figure it out the worse it seems to be getting!!! Any help would be great... Did anyone else find the owners manual kinda vague???

Go to settings and reduce your internal map size.  If it is too big you won't have enough memory to load SI images.
