Title: Greg -> HumminbirdPC and Group information?
Post by: LittleGazoo on May 04, 2014, 10:17:36 PM
HBPC 4.3.8 does not keep the Group information in the GPX file.  So where is it kept?
Is it in some Microsoft Program-Data file?
Please pass this up and see if I can get an answer. . .

HBPC has another quirk, this one with groups:

I use the third-party Boatlanes product.  I have separate Boatlanes data for Fork, Rayburn and ToledoBend.
So each Fork.gpx, Rayburn.gpx, ToledoBend.gpx each has a group name created called "Boatlanes".
If I were to load each into my HB units, the result would be 3 "Boatlanes" groups.  Not to bad.

BUT:
I create a new Fork2.gpx, then a new group "Boatlanes" and insert Fork data.
I create a new Rayburn2.gpx, then copied the Fork "Boatlanes" group into it, delete group data, inserted Rayburn data.
I create a new ToledoBend2.gpx, then copied the Fork "Boatlanes" group into it, delete group data, insert ToledoBend data.

I import the Fork2 into my HB units.
I import the Rayburn2 into my HB units.
I import the Toledobend2 into my HB units.

Now my HB units have just 1 "Boatlanes" group. That's ONE.
Holy Quirks . . . But a good quirk. . .
