HumminbirdPC Google Earth edition installs to all users :), but to view in Google Earth requires ADMIN status :(.
Poor security policy!
Fixes? ::)

With the icon on the desktop, right click with your mouse and select 'Run as Administrator".

That does not change the issue. "Run as Admin" leaves vulnerability level the same as "log on as Admin".
Again - POOR SECURITY POLICY
Perhaps you like allowing free access to system files...
I don't!

How about reporting to Google Earth?

How about reporting to Google Earth?
Google Earth runs fine logged in as a limited user even with most GIS apps I use. The glitch is that HumminbirdPC tries to access files in the Humminbird, Google Earth, or system directories that are restricted to administrators.
There is a reason these directories are restricted- unauthorized access can be exploited by a number of malicious apps.
Should all users be aware and conscientious of these vulnerabilities in the directory structure, refrain from logging on to the internet in admin mode, and refuse to open attachments from untrusted sources...
Viruses and trojans would have a much harder life, and all our computers would behave in more productive manners.
