Hello from Kentucky
« on: May 04, 2010, 07:35:22 PM »
Hello everybody. I live in the western part of KY and do the majority of my fishing on Lake Barkley. Always a passenger in the past, but got a '97 procraft this year. Bought a 798c si for it and had it out one time....unfortunately it was after the heavy rains this past weekend. Lake was up 4-5 feet, so you can imagine how the fishing was.  :'( Anyway, glad I found this site as I have already had several questions. Great site.  8)

Got a brother that lives in o'boro. Not many secrets yet, still learning Barkley. Got a camper at Indian Point and have been fishing with buddies that have fished there for years...picking up all I can. ;)

As far as Thursday, check this out... http://www.piersystem.com/go/doc/425/537635/  We went down yesterday and had the worse day ever as far as fishing. Nothing in 5 hrs...water was like mud and about 5 ft over where it was Saturday morning.  The logs, trees, etc. were terrible. Took forever to get back to the dock at the campground because of dodging the debris. I have read a few fishing reports that have said bass were being caught on the southern end of lake on Monday. Guess thats where I should've went.  >:(

Always up for fishing. Sounds like there is plenty of water in Ohio County.  ;)

We have plenty of water. 7 to 9 inches last week depending on who you talk to. I just hope they can hold Rough River back until this water can get out of here. When these lake levels get back to normal i would be interested in going fishing. I'm still learning about my 998c and two heads may be better than one. So far all i have mastered about fishing is how to open a Budlight. ;D
