Network Onix and Solix
« on: April 22, 2019, 10:24:46 PM »
I know this subject has been kicked around already but I'm kinda dense and still don't get it.  I have an Onix 10 and a Solix 10 networked along with a 360, ipilot, ilink using the transducer for the Solix. Solix does not have the latest update because I heard the Onix would not work properly if it was. Everything else has the latest updates. My problem is on my Onix the only thing I can get on the screen is the GPS and the 360... I was expecting 2d, si, and down imaging to work.... Was I just wishing or do I have something screwed up.

You are correct the latest SOLIX update eliminates the possibility of sharing anything with ONIX  ...

With as many ethernet items in your Setup I would assume you also have the AS ETH 5XPG ethernet switch  ...

It may be a good idea to disconnect everything from the Network and test with only 1 ethernet cable between the SOLIX and the ONIX to see if they will configure  ...

So you say to connect an ethernet cable between the 2 to see if they will configure.... Are they capable of configuring and sharing all available sonar options with the one transducer? Or am I trying to do something that does not work. Scratching my head on this one and not getting any definate answers and I'm sure someone out there has tried this.

SOLIX and ONIX should share Waypoints, accessories, Sonar, and mapping up until the latest version for SOLIX  ...

Reducing the ethernet network down to 2 head units and 1 cable helps determine if the issue is in either head unit  ...
