Title: Dr depth or auto chart on tablet-> graph
Post by: sstone2591 on October 16, 2013, 05:43:40 PM
Hey so I've seen alot of you guys running your dr depth in your boat connected to your pc through Ethernet .and I have been seeing the new surface tablet pro witch will run full windows,  allow you to download programs to it not just apps, and has an external USB which you could put an external Ethernet adapter in. Do y'all think this will work I don't have dr depth but my buddies do. After talking with some people we came up with a few questions and knew someone on here had to of thought about this
1) what requirements does the tablet and Ethernet adapter have to have. heres a link to the tablet http://m.microsoftstore.com/msusa/Catalog/Product/275287300 (http://m.microsoftstore.com/msusa/Catalog/Product/275287300)
2)do you think that since lake master bought dr depth that auto chart will be similar, atleast with pc requirements ?
3) if you had the navionics app, do you think the waypoints would share as they do between the graphs
4) could you edit your waypoints instantly with hb pc through the Ethernet connection for instance names of the way points.

Sorry about all the questions but we just thought it would be awesome if you could mount the tablet to the dash in a waterproof case. Run dr depth, goggle earth, navionics app and what ever else you could plan up.
