Title: missing "map offset" command
Post by: badaxed on July 15, 2015, 10:17:45 PM
I just purchased a 999 humminbird hd si  on july 12th and i have a wisconsin / lakemaster  card installed. The "Map offset command) is missing when the lakemaster card is installed. When i remove the card the command returns.
this system came with 7.46
This lakemaster card worked fine with map offset in my humminbird 798 si hd.
whats up with this?
today my map had me on top of an island and i went to use the map offset to correct and the command was not there.
Is there something wrong with this unit that it cannot read the lakemaster card and give me a map offset command?

I just checked my LakeMaster Southeast v2 and the Map Offset remains with or without the card in the unit ...

You might try Restore Defaults ...

I did that (restore default). Still not there when lake master card in.
Asked Doug Vahrenburg about this. He said lake master did not need map offset.
Said they did away with this year's ago.
Guess I will have to get accustomed to navigating on top of islands without map offset  if I want to use lakemaster cards.
Kind of disappointed after spending 1500 bucks and discovering this.
