Title: Multiple Transducers on a single 898c SI
Post by: DiemakerDave on March 10, 2012, 11:47:34 AM
Just want to make sure that what I'm planning on doing is going to work.

I don't think the side imaging transducer is going to see the other side past the outboard motor on my boat. The transducer is at least an 1" or 1-1/2' longer then the distance between the transom and outboard.

I'm thinking of putting a side imaging transducer on either side of the outboard with the AS-SI-L-R-Y  and a XP 9 20 inside the boat with the AS-SI-DB-Y and connecting it all together.

Your thoughts?

Thanks

Dave

Thanks, when you live in Northern Ohio you have all winter to research and watch videos (and buy stuff)!

Had had to use a couple small transom plates screwed together to get the transducer to clear the livewell intake. And it still wouldn't clear the lower unit, but the transducer does get reading on plane. But sense the SI doesn't work at high speed I just trim the lower unit out at trolling speed a touch and all is good. Hope this might help :)
