Hi all,
Ready to install this ducer. The sheet shows the fairing block with the pointy side (for lack of a better word) against the ducer. Is this correct? Seems upside down to me. Seems like this would create alot of turbulence.Just looks wrong, shouldn't the long pointy side go against the hull?
THX for any help clarifying this.

Welcome, I have pointy ends not sides. Post a few pix and we can take a look!
I have three (3) hull mounted xducers.

THX for the reply Roddy, I'm new at this forum stuff so takes me a minute to figure ut how to do things. Here a try at posting a couple a pictures.

ssauto,
Yep, that pix is right.
Hint: Plum the boat floor left to right then plum the fairing block left to right.
Hope all goes well. Post some pix of the install.
Enjoy Roddy

Thank You Sir, just needed some some assurance. Lets go cut the thing and cut a hole.
Thx Again, Bruce

FYI
For future reference in case someone searches for this same information:

Ok. I have a stupid question. We looked and looked at the fairing to make sure we cut it correctly and ended up cutting and angle right but on the wrong side. The large side will be facing up. Will this make a difference? In other words the illustrated way with the smaller side up is now the larger side up. Arrggh. Will this affect anything?

It may but there is no way to tell until you mount everything and test it.
I'm sure that there have been many who unknowingly put them on upside down and never had a problem.
