Title: Networking HB 859 with HB 899
Post by: dandomo1 on September 17, 2014, 12:20:32 PM
I just made the latest update for the 899 and 859 DI V 7.02. I have the 859 at the bow and 899 at console and they are both networked together. I heard the newest update allows you to view side imaging with the 859 from sharing the 899 transducer. I have the hi-def side scan transducer on the 899. Not really sure how to do that, I guess under Menu options and they network tab I need to choose the other device. There is the 2d option and ADV option. Do I need to change the Connected Transducer option as well?, can both finders be on at the same time?

Can anyone explain what I need to do.

Thanks a bunch!

The 899 needs to be "Master" select 2D and ADV to 899 for the 859 to use that data.
If you have the HDSI xdcr, change that type from Compact on the 899.

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums dandomo1.

You may want to review the Ethernet Operations Manual.  It should be able to help you out with the settings that Robert suggested and you can download it from this web site:
