Title: New Software Released 4.950 for 981c SI

Humminbird Released a new software update for the 981c that fixes the Shallow Water Depth issue.  Several other non-SI units recieved updates as well, including the following models:

717
727
737
747c
757c
767
787c2

The download for the 981c can be found here on the forum in the Downloads Section (http://forums.sideimagingsoft.com/index.php?action=downloads) or by logging into your account at Humminbird.com.

Loaded to my 981c, works fine except SI views and menus are missing!
SW version was 3.17.

Any help appreciated,

Did you reset the menus back to the factory setting both before and after updating the software in the unit?  If not, try resting them now by using the Restore Defaults menu.  If so, try loading an older software version in the unit than download a fresh copy of the 4.950 software and try it again.

Yes, I did reset menus and I also loaded older sw versions but SI menus and views do not show up any more.

Hi Marko,

the same symptoms showed when I screwed up my first update on my 981.

But there might be a way to restore your unit without sending it back to the factory or dealer. I wrote a "how to" here:
