Hello,
I'm up here in Canada, and have purchased the AutoChart Pro ..... it works great ..... except ..... I can't find a way to overlay my Navionics as either the base layer or overlay ..... my 898 does not seem to read my Navionics card when the AutoChart Pro card is installed.
Both my 858's read the Navionics cards just fine - but I'd like to do up an overlay as the Autochart maps will likely remain uncompleted for most of the lake AND the shorelines (zero lines) are WAY off ..... like 1/2 mile off in some areas of the lake where I seemly drove my boat across some land ..... lol.
Anyone have any insight on how to get a Navionics / Autochart Pro Overlay??????
****FYI - I Canada, out west, there are zero lakes charted by Lakemaster ..... so Navionics was the logical choice for us out here.

I have a somewhat similar issue. In a 999ci, when I try to overlay Navionics Platinum to Autochart AC or vice versa, the 999ci shuts down and reboots. Can HB tech support shed some light on this issue?

I seem to remember something like this being discussed during one of the Customer resource meetings but I cannot remember the solution. The solution may have been to update the software in the units but I’m not sure about that.
What software version is each of you running?
Sorry guys but I’ve been very busy here with training and will continue to be so for it looks like another two weeks maybe; so I don’t know if I will be able to follow up with this (more so that I will not remember to…). You may want to call the Humminbird CRC folks and ask about this.

Hello! This is my first post :)
Found this thread on an internet search and I'm having the same issue, so I created an account here.
Called Humminbird this morning and at the end of a long call I was told this feature was not yet available.
I have the included contour xd maps on my 999 (firmware 7.020) as well as the Navionics card in the left card slot.
If I select anything other than the right card slot, where the Autochart card is, the "base layer", "overlay" and "transparency" options are removed from the Chart tab in the menus. It appears that for my unit Lakemaster, Contour XD, and Navionics will not work as a base layer.
They said Navionics support is a high priority update and I should expect to see an update for my 999 soon... If anybody gets a definition on when soon is please let me know!

I also experience the same problem and would really like a fix :) Anyone from HB who can give an indication on when this will be supported?

I just read all the posts again and think that I did not understand what you guys were trying to do, so let me ask if this is what you are trying to do:
Are you trying to overlay the AutoChart map over a Navionics map? If so, it will not work. I thought that you guys were having a problem displaying the Navionics OR AutoChart maps (separately) when both memory cards were in the unit.

What I am trying to do is utilize the Navionics + card that came with my new 899 unit. As far as I can determine it is either the Auto Chart Zero Line card or the Navionics card - the system will not allow the 2 maps to overlay each other. Is that correct and also does that mean with a Lake Master card for my area I will have the same problem. I wish the advertising for Auto Chart would have done a better job of telling that small and extremely important detail. This means that the value of my Auto Chart Pro is much less than I thought. I have used the AC software and the mapping worked well but if I don't map the whole lake I will be switching between maps all day long. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Autochart is Lakesmaster ..... Not Navionics ..... Navionics + is an online web service offered by Navionics.....The + card is not a zerolines card.

You cannot overlay a Navionics map with an AutoChart made map.
You can overlay a LakeMaster map with an AutoChart made map.
