Hey Guys, Gettin nervous. Hope I can  receive, install and practice with, the 898 si before big trip 1st of April.
Please ease the tension. let me know mid March shipping is still on schedule...
I have read the manual...cover to cover.   Feels like Christmas....don't let me down.

I am not sure where you ordered your unit from but I placed my order for my 898 Sunday and it is scheduled to be here 03/10/10

Who did you order from? I think they are shipping to the major players first and the smaller guys last.

ordered mine from the Humminbird on line store. figured they have the inside track.....keepin them fingers crossed.

I don’t know who we ship to first (my guess would be from whoever got their order in first) but Chuck and Robert can attest to the fact that we are building, packing and shipping them as they saw this first hand when they visited last Friday (thought I was gonna have to frisk Chuck to make sure he didn’t think they were free samples!).

The way the Humminbird on-line store works (this is the one you get to from our web site) is that the retailer that is closest to you that has the item in stock gets first chance at filling your order.  After that it up for grabs and if none of the other retailers have the item or accept the order than it comes to us at Humminbird.  I know that we fill these in the order received because my nephew-in-law ordered his unit directly from us and is having to wait out getting his 998c Si unit too!

I wish I had some pictures  , but I can certainly say that they were cranking them out!  There were 898's and 998's all over the place!

I felt like a kid in a candy store!  I wanted one of everything!

I had hoped for a "gift'  but ended up realizing the units in the plastic boxes were actually waiting final inspection and then into the package.  there are some future users almost ready for the receive of the unit.  we even bought greg lunch but to no avail.  Greg is steadfast.  isnt it nice to have reliable employees....    thanks again for the tour.  Hb is processing the build cycle as fast as they can.   It is nice to see that they dont sacrifice quality for speed. Yours will be there soon and will work right out of the box.  .  chuck

I get down to Eufaula about twice a year.  Now that I own a couple of their units, wouldn't mind touring the factory.

Merry Christmas in March...My 898 c si arrived today. get out the duct tape, hammer and chisel. it's time to install this HD underwater T.V.
