will the weather sense continue to work when the boat and transducer are out of the water ?
-
Absolutely.
All the weathersense is, is a barometric pressure gauge.
It measures the baromeric pressure at it's location.
It has it's own battery, so it doesn't depend on anything
else to work.
I think it will still keep the trend history even if you
don't turn on your main unit.

Yes the WeatherSense will work while the boat is out of the water or it will even work if not on a boat. Here is a screen snapshot from almost seven years ago (August 29, 2005) that I took while at work when one of the feeder bands from Hurricane Katrina came through. .

I have used WeatherSense since purchasing my 1197 in 2009 and find it very useful and frequently look at it will in the shop.

Hey Roddy, are you sure you're not talking about XM Weather.
Weathersense can't really save your life, it just shows the
barometric reading, current and some history.

ITGEEK, Down he a on the South Carolina low country we get pop up t-storms out of nowhere, so watching the Glass Fall and head's for the hill early is most wise!
Sometimes I get home in time to get the Search Boat to go look for someone who did not.
Watch the glass.
Monitor WX Radio.
Head in early.
Keep Life Simple and Enjoy!
