I was wanting to know if a heading sensor would work for the jog to feature. After talking with Minn kota  the answer is no.
During my conversation I inquired about lithium batteries for my TM,and I was a bit surprised when I was told that Minn kota does not recommend lithium batteries for any chipboard control motors. Any of their non chipboard products such as the Endura are ok with lithium. The lithium battery stays at 100%,as opposed to lead acid and agm, which drains amps. When more demand is required for the TM,the lithium can and does put out more than the 2.6 amps which in turn causes the capacitor to burn out, leading to replacing the whole board. And at this point in time, there aren't any parts available. The Minn kota service rep.told me that there many units waiting for backorder parts and that quite a few guys are wanting to buy new units, if they can find them. So... is it better to have the batteries go out or TM?
It sounds like a no win situation, as group 31 batteries are as scarce parts for the TM.
