l didnt receive the update email and l have the 898  so what other features are we getting and when are we getting them, Nothing in my HB account as yet

I copied and posted the info:

New Software Features 
Casting Rings: Draw a specific diameters around any of the waypoints on the screen.

Waypoint Proximity Indicator: Show the distance to the nearest 10 waypoints. 
 Removable Readouts for 800/900 series Side Imaging Units: View Side Imaging data.   
 
Timer: A countdown timer displays as a Readout Selection for use in tournaments.

Course Projection and Heading Lines: More options for Course Projection lines. 

TTG: Time To Go allows you to see how much time until you reach a waypoint. 
 
Lower Range: Set the lower range as shallow as 2 feet for fishing in shallow water.

Hide Track: Choose to hide the Current Track and make the Current Track visible again. 

North Up Indicator: North Up Arrow will display the north direction on GPS. 
 
Side Imaging Range Variable: Adjust your Side Imaging Range by a larger number of feet.

Side Imaging Auto Range: SI ranges increases or decreases as depth of the water changes.
 
Coming in 2012, Humminbird will announce the release of a new software version that contains all of these features plus many others. In this future email we will also provide you with the version number of software that contains these new features.
