Title: 898 si issues

I have 898 si and when I turn it on it starts in simulation mode and I can't get my temp to work either their is not even on option on my setting, and when I turn the unit on it tells me transducer not connected (but works) and on a test the only thing showing connected is the GPS.
Any one else having this issue?

Just out of warranty already had it in once already cost me $130 to take it off and have it reinstalled NO TO HAPPY.

It sounds like the temperature sensor in your transducer has failed.  When you power the unit on try forcing it into the Normal operation mode by pressing the VIEW button while the unit is showing the Title screen (shows something like: “Humminbird 898c Si”).  This should bring up three menu choices with the top one being “Normal”.  Select this and allow the unit to complete its start up.  You can go into the Setup menus and set the Demonstration menu to “Off” so that the unit will go right into the Normal Operation mode the next time it is powered on.  Speak with the Humminbird Customer Resource folks about getting the transducer fixed.
