Question for all you electronics gurus!   I have the above mentioned unit.  If I were to put a dedicated di transducer on this unit with the switch,  will I get down image as good as a di unit? If so, thinking about putting a di transducer on and bow 360.  Will this work? Thoughts.............

Yes it will work but I don't know how well the Di sonar will show.

With a DI xducer on a HB SI unit ...

Will you get as good of DI as a dedicated DI unit ??... No ... Different DI processing algorithms ...

Will you get better DI than the stock "DI from SI" ...?? Absolutely ... Because the piezo will be pointing straight down ...

Brushpile with "DI from SI" processing ...(on my 1197c SI) ...

Same brushpile with XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T ... (On my 1197c SI) ...
