1198 depth troubleshooting
« on: March 01, 2017, 09:44:59 PM »
Hey guys,

I have an 1198 on my boat with the y cable connecting to both a side imaging transducer and the thru hull tranducer.  Midway through last season, the unit stopped reading the bottom depth.

Any recommendations on where to begin the troubleshooting process?

Let me know if i left out any critical information.

Thanks,

Dave

Disconnect the AS SIDB Y cable and plug the SI xducer directly into the unit ...

If depth works correctly with only the SI xducer attached - the issue is with the AS SIDB Y cable, the thru xducer, or the thru hull xducer has come loose from the epoxy ...
