Title: Helix transducer- Got it perfect
Post by: Amphib206 on June 04, 2018, 12:37:15 PM
Hello !
Replaced the 997 with a helix 10 on a Lund Explorer.
Saw everyone else pics of how they mounted their ‘ducer

Took the boat out Saturday. I have to say; I was marking bottom at 33 mph, never lost bottom in the marina area (4’-6’). Had absolutely no rooster tail from the transducer.
I got lucky.
ACL is real cool !

Here is my placement. I used a hockey stick ( it’s a Canadian thing) to parallel the bottom of my boat, to show the slight angle of my transducer.

Funny how the MSI XDCR barely kisses the surface & runs great there huh?

It took me 4 tries because back when I got my 12MSI, I was WAAAAYYYYYY too high on the transom location.

Enjoy!
