Title: Helix 7 DI G2N Update issues
Post by: Mobana on August 03, 2018, 10:16:38 PM
Hello and thanks in advance for any advise here. I tried updating my unit the other day to the newest firmware and ended up in a constant reboot state. I followed instructions, restored factory defaults. The unit start but reboots when hitting exit after the prompt. It shows that I have the newest firmware 1.640 when I leave the SD card in with the update so its reading the card. Was wondering if I tried to downgrade the software to an older version if it would let me. Thats where I need someones help. I cannot find an older version online. Can anyone share 1.620 with me or another version? Has anyone successfully downgraded?
Thank you

Thanks for the reply Rickie but no, have no accessories at all hooked up, even tried with the transducer and it recognizes it missing but reboots anyway. Had already read through the link you sent while searching for solutions.  By chance do you know where I could find a previous version to try?
Thanks

Humminbird Customer Service (1-800-633-1468) would be the 1st step (your reboot looping scenario has been reported by past users in the forums)  ...

Bass boat central would be the next step to find a user with that specific software version  ...
