Humminbird PC upload add/replace
« on: April 03, 2012, 11:32:29 PM »
I'm having problems with uploading files onto a sd card.  I keep my waypoints organized by the lake they are on in Humminbird PC.  When I want to put the waypoints for multiple lakes on one SD card the files are only replacing and not adding to the SD card.  For example, if I want to put the waypoints for Lake Sharpe and Lake Frances case on one SD card, I highlight the file for Sharpe and right click it and choose upload. I get the prompt to add or replace and I choose add. Then I highlight the Frances Case file and right click, choose upload and add but when I look at the files on the SD card only the Frances Case waypoints are there even though i chose "add".  It was working for me fine but I don't know what happened. Anyone else have this problem?  Am I overlooking something simple? I'm still kind of new to this stuff so its likely that it's operator error.  Thanks.

What version of HumminbirdPC are you using?
As a work around you should be able to bring both files up in HumminbirdPC, create a third file and copy and paste the waypoints from the Lake Sharpe and Lake Frances files into it.

Version 4.2.  That's what I have been doing, creating a new file, it works just fine.  I was thinking maybe I would uninstall and install Humminbird PC again and see if it makes any difference. Thanks Greg.

Thanks ibloch,
I will try this with the 4.2.0 version of HumminbirdPC software and submit it as a bug if it happens.

It did the same on my PC with HumminbirdPC version 4.2.0 and I am still running an XP machine.  What version of Windows are you guys running?

If this was also in the 41.8 version of HumminbirdPC than not many folks must be using the “Add” function!

I run XP as well. My kid has Windows 7 on his lap top, I will try with that when I get a chance.  I was able to to do the add/replace with 4.1.8 and XP. I like the add/replace, it lets me put any combination of lakes on a SD card that I want, without making a new file in HumminbirdPC
