Title: Will 998c SI work with Standard Horizon Matrix 3000 with DSC?
Post by: rjkleiner on February 11, 2010, 08:55:17 AM
Considering purchasing 998c SI but I am not clear on the NEMA (DSC) capibilities of the Humminbird unit.  Does any one know if the 998c SI has the proper output?

Thanks!!

Hello RJ and welcome to the forum,
since I'm not really familiar with the IT stuff and don't know what DSC is, I just can give you my 2 cents about NMEA output:
GPS and depth data can be send out to other applications by using the NMEA port on the backside of your unit. Some of the other guys here on the forum can give you further details.
Hope this helps.

Output of coördinates  to support a distress call wil be no problem.
The bird won't show you information of incoming distress and/or selective call information
