Topic: Help with cleaning my screens

I have a 859 and an 899 on my boat that I purchased in November. When I purchased them I also bought a Huminbird "Screen Cleaning" product  to clean the screens. This worked great but when I ran out I bought some "Windex Mulit-Purpose' w/vinagar to use. After a couple of cleanings I've noticed a film on the screens of both units. I've tried to clean this film using just plain water but that didn't work. I plan on trying some soapy (Dawn) water but havn't had time. yet. I've always used a clean "micro-fiber" cloth when cleaning so nothing got transfered that way. Is the Windex product the issue? It was recommended here on this forum so it should work fine. So, what am I doing wrong?

Windex multi   works well.  Make sure you use clean cloths. And wipe dry using another clean cloth,.
