Topic: Trying to setup 899 SI with AIS Radio

I am looking at the Standard Horizon GX2000B and the GX2200B AIS VHF Radio’s. I would like to connect one of these units to my Humminbird 899 SI. I would also like to add the Humminbird AS GPS HS (408400-1). Can the GX2200 be connected to this unit with this external GPS antenna? Would I see the AIS targets on my chartplotter? What additional cable would be required to make this work?

If I were to go with the GX2000, and purchase the Humminbird AIS receiver, would this work correctly showing AIS targets on chartplotter? What cable or cables would this require?
Is one of these setups better than the other?
