Topic: Screen freezing up on helix 5si

Hi all. I went out fishing sunday afternoon and all was good for an hour or so and then the helix started freezing up. It did it around 10 times and it would last anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes.  It was locked up tight I couldn't power it off or nothing. It did it on several different views and all readouts were also frozen. Power supply is good and battery charged. Any thoughts or ideas?

If you are sure the power supply is in good condition ...

Try Restore Defaults...
Try hiding the "Bird's Eye Views" (if it's the GPS version) ...
Try to find duplicate or weird looking waypoints in the waypoint library (if it's the GPS version) ...
Try with no SD Card in the unit ...

Thanks for the quick response. Birds eye views are off and I have no way points saved. I will remove the navionics card and see if that does it or restore defaults. It just seems like every other time I go fishing something goes goofy with the helix.
