Topic: Lost all my unit cartography features

I have use my unit last year summer time. got the new update 7.6 for my international and today on my trip. I lost all my cartography menus and GPS etc....

i have rollback to previous software version.. nothing change. It's like I only have 2d and SI features now. thats it.

On the demo mode I can see all my features and play with it but not when I go fishing on the boat? any ideas?

Sure sounds like it isn't seeing your GPS ...... If you are using the internal one, maybe try to connect an external to see if it works that way......You won't get any mapping or GPS screens if the GPS isn't connected.

You might also try resetting defaults and see if that helps.

i did a reset,

went back to my original software version 6.25 and nothing change.. i change it back to each version i had and nothing else either.

i don't have an external GPS.

any more idea?

How old is the 798?  The only other thing I would suggest is to call customer service, but it sure seems like it is a problem with the unit since the GPS is internal.
If it is out of warranty, it would probably be cheaper to get an external GPS than get it fixed......That would be an opportunity to get a HS GPS.

Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

my HB warranty just got expire. I have it since april 5 2014.

im sending it to my nearest repair shop to get a full checkup and see how much it would cost me.

I have extended warranty with my VISA card and they just sent me papers to fill out to reclaim.
