This is an image of a sunken Cabin Cruiser in the American River, north of Discovery Park, near Downtown Sacramento CA. It was shot with a Hummingbird 997 in Fresh water and depth was very shallow. It was several years ago so exact settings are hard to remember but I rarely stray much from default.

This image is of a small vintage Tug Boat and some floating docks that sank in the Alameda Channel in the Oakland Estuary Alameda California. On the right you see a pretty good outline of the boat sitting on her side, clear views of the Bow, Pilot House, low deckhouse and the funnel as well as what appears to be a small mast aft, and the lower afterdeck are clearly visible. This was pretty much stock out of the box in 2009.

In 2011 Lake Awoonga  in Central Queensland Australia overflowed for the first time since the dam was raised  . The result was a mass exodus of Barramundi of up to 1.35 meters in length. Thousands left to travel down to the salt to breed. This shot was taken using 898  in the Boyne river which is below the dam

Belmont Barge- also shows support ribs. 798HDSI- Salt Water Shallow-Sens and SI setting 10- Chart speed 3. Contrast 12. Find best pictures come @ early morning when silt/sediments have time to settle from resulting wind drop :)
Also takes different boat angles to get decent picture.

Hi Here is my entry into the competition.
This snapshot was taken on my 998CXsi last night 19/11/13 in moreton bay QLD Australia. I believe it is a fibreglass boat approx 6mtrs in length. I picked up a corner of the structure right on the edge of the screen while just casually scanning an area for fish. I marked it with the cursor and ran back over it and couldnt believe what I found!!

I was scanning on the 800khz setting with the sensitivity at about 15.

Robert/Matt,

This snapshot was taken in Alder Lake, WA, USA.  Taken with an HB 598ci HD SI with the HDSI transducer and default settings. The lake is fed by Mt. Rainier snow/ice melt that has a high suspended silt and clay content. I was trying to follow the submerged railroad grade from the adjacent submerged townsite of Alder and came upon this abandoned truck.

This old blown out bridge is from Normandy Lake in TN.  Settings were 14 / 07/ off in 800 just shooting one side.  898 HD unit.  Took a bunch of playing and not much fishing to get her dialed in  ;D

Tell them I've gone fishing!

This screen capture was taken on May 19th 2011 in Madison WI on Lake Mendota. I was anchored so the fish you see were swimming through the side imaging beams. The background is streaked because the boat is stationary. Some people think side imaging will only work if you're moving but that's not true. If fish swim through the beam you can see them very nicely. I had the frequency set at 455 KHz.

You're right Rick. I also neglected to say that I caught several of them before I quit fishing that night.

1197. not sure of the settings or software, other than it utilizes Auto Sensitivity, and I dont know what software version it was that took that away..

I believe this to be a large school of Buffalo.

I believe that I snapped this in 2009 with a model 997. It is a small humpback whale that dove right in front of the boat while I was trolling for king salmon (saltwater).
The whale is about 30 feet long. It managed to miss all four line I had in the water. The frequency is set at 400 and the scan speed is at 10.
