Sunken Pontoon boat? (Lake Whitney Texas)
« on: November 06, 2012, 09:54:30 AM »
Here are a couple I got Friday evening of what looks to be a sunken pontoon boat right out of Uncle Gus's marina on Lake Whitney. I thought it was a car or truck at first but the more I look the more it seems to be a pontoon boat. Let me know what you think.

Certainly look like it could be a pontoon boat.  Try scanning it again but use the 800kHz, set your 998c Si unit to display only one side of the Si sonar and scan from different angles.

Did you look at the new swimming pool snaps?

Thanks for that advise I will certainly give that a try. I am still pretty new to the whole humminbird thing so advise like this is very helpful.
Thanks

“fisn’n seat on front”
Thanks Roddy, I couldn’t figure out what that was on the front.  Our party barge here had been converted to a test platform just after it arrived so I was not familiar with this.

Bob, I thought I did look at the latest swimming pool images, but I will check again.

Bob,
I did look at the latest swimming pool images and had replied via e-mail.  Are you going to get to rescan it at 800kHz from additional angles?

I sure will. I will be on Lake Belton this weekend. I will try and get some good stuff from there.
