I have a 997 & a 798. I'm looking for a something that will clean my screens & remove water spots. If anyone knows of a place that sells it...please advise.

I would try using some of the Windex Vinegar Multi Surface Spray on a clean cloth.  Soak it down well and lay the unit display side up and let the soaked cloth on the display.  Let it set for 10 minutes and see if it cleaned off the water spots.

We use the Windex multi and it works fine. Moisten the lint free cloth and gently wipe the screen. Dont press hard. Use a dry lint free cloth to remove the film from the 1st step. For older spots do this several times.
Dont soak the screen just a light film and rub motion.

Windex Vinegar Multi Surface Spray works pretty well, but should be done frequently, there have been lots of folks having problems keeping the screens clean.

I would recommend a screen protector, I installed one on an 1197 two years ago and have been very pleased with it.  The screen is easy to clean and it does protect it from damage.

One of the screen protectors is from https://www.zagg.com/ they are expensive this is where I purchased my screen protector.  I took the recommendation form this site.  You should look at all of the screen saver products by searching the internet.

These are not the easiest to install, mine came in a tube so I opened it and put it in a book for a week which did not help.  I did end up with a small wrinkle which I worked out, If I look for it I see it, overall I am very happy with it and the screen is much easier to keep clean.  Pay close attention to the direction, make sure you have everything prepared for installation.

I installed a Zagg screen protector on my tablet a few days ago.  No real problems installing it but there was a note that you could gently heat the protector with a hair dryer (on lowest setting) and it would relax the screen protector.  May be too late now for yours but keep in mind if you install another one later.  I actually used a lamp light to gently heat mine to work out two air bubbles.

Greg...here's another problem I've experienced with my screen. If its raining and I'm using the gps...the screen gets really tough to see because of the rain hitting it. The Zagg screen protector...will this improve reading the scree while its raining and you're on the move? Thanks, Dennis.

The Zagg  will not stop bluring of the screen or wet drops on the screen. It is what happens after the rains stops where it is effective in not spotting the screen.
I would suppose that the best for the screens is to be in a housing protecting them from the wetness but making the viewing more directional sensitive to the viewer.
While the units are built to withstand a degree of moisture they are not designed for pouring rain and the view thereof.

We have our units built into boxes that have a protective glass thru which we view the screen. This lets us keep the glass clean easier and to also use rainx on the glass from time to time making the rain run off the glass as it would on an automobile windshield.. I dont believe that HB wants us to use rainx on their screen.

I haven’t tested ant Rain-X on our unit lenses Chuck but I would not try it as it may react with some of the coating layers on the lens.

I don’t think that there is anything that can be done about making the units more viewable in the rain Irishrover.

I did not suggest using rainx on the HB scree.  We use it on the glass cover we have that protects the HB unit.
