Towfish "Made in Sweden"
« on: October 16, 2011, 04:49:26 AM »
Hi

Now the work is done. For this towfish i used Roberts idea with some modifies.
The ballast ( 2 kg stainless steel ) on the outside off the towfish works also as a careen and a transducherprotector.
The 36m cable ( 3 extension cable EC W30 ) goes trough the tube and is fixed to the end. I hope, if the fish gets caught in the  tow,  the fixingpoint off the cable  brakes first and so its get be possible to draw the fish backward out.

Material

Tube: PVC 50mm x 2,4mm
Plate: Bubble-PVC „Kömacell“

Hi,
Also, the color is close to the traditional Swedish Grey that was used on all machines from this country some decades ago ;-) It looks like a very accurate design. I look forward to see some images!
Grattis!

Wow, geiles Gerät Rüdiger!

Lets see some pictures. I'm back to base since a couple of weeks, but the lake is so low and foggy that I didn't had a chance to do anything on the water. I bought a small dinghy with a trailer and a small outboard engine. I will try if it is sufficient for winter scanning since the big boat had to go in winter storage.

Regards from the south / Harry
