Forum Logging me out, can't stay Logged In.
« on: February 22, 2011, 07:08:32 PM »
I have had several members inform me that they are constantly having to log in or the forum will log them out when they go to post.  I have also been experiencing this and found out that it's a hacker attack.  It is not just our forum, but a lot of forums that run the Simple Machines forum software.

I have banned quite a few IP addresses that i found were causing the issue, but you cant block them all.  And usually they are using a fake IP address anyway.

Nothing that I know of has been hacked.  If you cannot log in to your account, please contact me via email: rgecy (at) sideimagingsoft.com.

I am working to keep the issue to a minimum, but pleae bear with us for a few days till we get this fixed.

Thanks,

Robert Gecy

Someone should prosecute these little bastards that write these viruses.
I had one on my home computer that took me two months to finally get rid of.
I had to replace the operating system.  Not a complete re-install, just a replace, which saved the data on the computer.

A few times I almost threw the computer against the wall.
Now the machine is slowed way down because the anti-virus software is running.  But, it's a necessary evil in today's world.
