Multiple Transducer Source for MSI
« on: October 05, 2019, 10:55:41 AM »
I am looking to upgrade to the MK Ulterra trolling motor w/Chirp, built-in MSI/MDI, & iPilot Link. I have a Helix 10 MDI G3 on bow and Helix 12 Chirp MSI/MDI G2N at console. If I network these will I be able select the TM TD on my Helix 12 to show MSI at the console head unit?

Thank you for the link. Before I buy the new Ulterra, I wanted to be certain that I can display the MSI at the console from the trolling motor. Is there a way to switch between the built-in trolling motor MSI TD and the transom MSI TD?

Both connected xducers should be available under the Network Source tab in the Main Menu System  ...

Just curious why wanting to view MSI from TM at console which would require TM to be deployed?

If I want to see out to the side of boat while trolling. Right now, I only have Helix 10 MDI at the bow- the built-in MSI was not available when I bought the 10.

RNVINC- I contacted HB support and they said that if I connect the built-in MSI TD from my new Ulterra to my console Helix 12 MSI head unit, and link my bow Helix 10 MDI, it would display MSI on my bow head unit. Also, in the Network setup, I could also select my transom TD to show MSI from my console head unit, Helix 12 MSI. Does this sound correct? Just wanting to make sure before i invest $3200 for my new Ulterra- Thanks

It is also my understanding that the MSI xducer needs to be connected to the MSI head unit  ...

This is so the MSI head unit can process the SI data from the Ulterra MSI xducer ... which can then be shared over Ethernet to the other head unit display ...
