can somebody tel how i can work with the 1197 an a computer with Dr.Depth because its not working, NMEA is on.????????

What Windows-version do you use ?
If you use a RS232-USB converter look in the systemcontrol-settings-machinsettings-com ports and you can see what port the converter use.
Than look in the settings of DrDepth, as you use the same port.

A couple of additional things to check:
Have you validated that the serial data is actually arriving on the serial port of the computer (using Hyperterminal etc.), and also that the Baud rate and other port-settings match what is expected?

Many serial port drivers and USB-to-Serial devices also have problems if there is "live" data on the port when you start the computer. There are however some registry work-arounds, but it is probably not the problem you are having.
