Title: Traditional vs. Downscan Display side-by-side?
Post by: redheelerdog on July 23, 2010, 04:13:41 PM
Took the 997c SI out for its first real fishing trip, I am very happy with the unit overall. We caught quite a few walleye on Fort Peck Reservoir in Montana this past week, loads of fun and great people!   :D

While fishing some spots, and cycling through some views on the 997 I noticed that I have a difference in the traditional 200/83 kHz screen versus the 800 kHz down imaging screen when displayed split screen side by side.

Could anyone explain what settings I need to adjust on the down imaging display to make the reflections from the traditional sonar show up on the down image screen?

I took a couple of snapshots of what I believe to be fish reflections on the traditional sonar (left screen) and they do not show any reflections on the down image screen.

I am thinking there are some settings I need to change on the down image to be able to pick up these reflectors.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

 :)

What freq is SI set to? 800 or 455?  You may not see it in 800khz.  In the DI screen, go to the DI express menu and try changing the DI Width setting.
