Finally got a shot of a gill bed, sharpness takes away from the clear shot but was able to see some fish at the bottom of this bed and a few within the bed. Helped to know were to put the jig and land some keepers.

we have seen similar beds on one of our local lakes... but we havent been able to see the fish in them in the finder... we know they are there because the water is clear enough to visually see them.... Can you show where you see the gills in your si shot?
-
When I get home from work I will att. another shot that has them marked for you.
-
Good shot. This spring and summer I have marked well over 100 of those on several lakes. Caught a ton of Gills and shell crackers off of them. Side imaging will most certainly change the way one fishes.....for the better. Still looking for that gravel....LOL. Just need to get to the right spot.
Regards

Lol, keep at it alpha! It will come ;D
With work it may be middle of week before I can post the shots I spoke off.

Cool... I appreciate it! ;D

working in paint and transferring this shot has really taken away from what this looked like on the water but it will give you an idea. Working with sharpness and other pallets will help pull the fish out. This is the one you were asking about. After they came off beds I went to C.C bream section and asked for help in finding them again. The guys were really helpful and with the help of the 898 I was back on them. below is a link to that thread that may be of some help as well.

good luck

Very nice read on the other forum, learned a lot. Thanks
-
Very nice shot SB, I've got a couple shots of bream beds this past w-end.
I'll post them up later. Thanks for sharing your shots & info!
-
SK did you see fish on your beds you found? The ones I'm seeing now are empty and filling in. Some that I had found this spring are all but gone.
-
There was a few there but no where near full.
I was gonna start another thread but since this is along the same topic I'll post'em here.

That sure was a big bed in that last shot. If your like me I have the ones I found marked now so next spring I'll start looking to see when they move in to set up shop.
Did you put a hook in some of those fish to the left scattered out?
-
No I was out for crappie & only had my jigging rods, I might get to try'em this w-end. Hoping I can find some with some size to'em!
-
Due to the heat we have started doing some night fishing up here under the lights. Gotta like those big night slabs ;D
-
I bought some of those led lights to put under my rub rail so I can do some night fishn but haven't had/made time to install them. That's one way to beat tha heat for sure!
